All lights, gauges and accessories work, and though the check engine light stays on, the car starts, idles and runs very well. Black fabric on the seats has faded somewhat, and bolsters show wear and discoloration as seen above. The interior features custom trimmed two-tone upholstered Sparco Milano seats, high end Pioneer speakers and subwoofer and a center console-mounted starter button. Wipers, lights and signals all work well. Additionally, there are stress cracks where the wing mounts to its uprights. The body remains very straight, though clearcoat on the hood and nose shows some cracks. Mirror caps are also made of carbon fiber. GM Design was responsible for one-off front and rear lower fascia extensions, carbon fiber hood with functional intake scoop, carbon fiber front and rear chin spoilers with integrated air extractors, carbon fiber side skirts and a carbon fiber rear wing. Custom 19″ x 8″ wheels wear Pirelli P Zero Nero 235/35 tires (one of which has been replaced), and brakes measure 13″ in front and one inch smaller in the rear. PPG “Black Knight” paint is actually a very dark green metallic, but appears black unless closely inspected under the right lighting conditions. Though not street registerable, the car has accumulated just under 5k miles and is in good running order, the seller noting that it’s quite fast with excellent handling. Other upgrades included a custom carbon fiber body kit, larger brakes, Quaife LSD and more detailed below. Based on the 2005 Cobalt SS production car, this concept is powered by a tuned two liter supercharged Ecotec four with power increased from 205 to 272 HP.
